if your skills are no longer required because of some technology shift, they will lay you off if you don't have seniority, which is understandable, any organization would do the same, nothing... personal (last in, first out). it's better to hire someone who already has the experience rather than train everyone on the job. having said that I'd go back in a heartbeat, i don't know whether they'd accept me though :) "buddy, you left once, no guarantee you wouldn't do it again so why take chances again with you, there are so many people out there who'd like to work for us"

Performance pressure occasionally overrides ability to service effectively. It can be a bit overwhelming at times. Otherwise, a positive, encouraging, rewarding company to be a part of.
