Former Employee - Production

I worked at Agropur Coopérative full-time for less than a year

Pros

Great wage, friendly people, lots of overtime

Cons

Rotation shifts killed social life at times.

Current Employee - Office Staff

I have been working at Stahlbush Island Farms full-time for more than a year

Pros

Beautiful farmlands allowed to purchase product at discounted rate

Cons

Farm Shop, Engineering-FabShop and Plant Maintenance Managed well all other departments can only be described as Train Wrecks. Senior Management completely oblivious of what is going on around them,... when management failures are brought to Senior Managements attention employee concerns are unanswered. Work environment can only be described as unhealthy, training is nonexistent, employees are mocked for requesting additional instruction. Advancement is possible if you are the correct kind of person, race is a factor in advancement. Oh and you are told when hired the company observes 3 holidays BUT you are not paid for any holidays and have to use the PTO you earn to cover anytime you take off - Thanksgiving/Christmas/NewYers facility is shut down for 6 days, either use your PTO or don’t get paid.

Advice to Management

Talk to your workers, upper management is giving you the answers you want not the truth of what’s going on. Your employees are afraid to speak truthfully for fear of retaliation. It is happening all... over your facility
