Current Employee - Engineering IC

Pros

Eng team willing to consider changing their process to match how teams really work. Remote FIRST (this is actually true!) Useful app that actually helps students learn better, faster, cheaper.... Smart business model with room to grow into more than just what's offered today Under-serviced market with a team absolutely-dedicated to making a good product A+ customer focus internally. Approachable Exec team! Joe Fridays (ask about these in interviews)

Cons

Unclear long term objectives that cannot be clearly linked to Current projects Long-lasting-work that doesn't seem to complete and deliver. Lots of change (not always a bad thing), maybe too much... for some teams to adjust to. Unclear process (this is getting better) and ownership (still a big question for some teams) Shifting priorities (this needs to get better, respect WIP limits!)
