The vast majority are Good people to work with. Management is usually empathetic and supportive.

Cons

'Open Work Space' i.e., no cubicles / no privacy. LOW pay compared to everywhere else. One Middle Manager is a self described: Fascist, seriously. He refuses to follow Standard Software... Development Methods, like proper Testing Plans, Regression Testing, Test Environments(!?!), having people other than the developer do additional testing should be the rule! Without proper testing, this leads to 'problems' which he then blames on the developers when the clients' data is impacted from untested changes.

Advice to Management

Get rid of the fascist in the LLS / KWIK LOAN group - ASAP. Pay your people closer or equal to the average wages for their skills. Institute professional software development methods and procedures... - this is a management issue, not a developer one.
