Former Intern - Summer Business Analyst

I worked at Kearney for less than a year

Pros

Kearney is smaller compared to most competitors and I think that really sets the stage for a tight-knit culture. My office was very close. People were easy-going and down-to-earth. Even as a... summer intern, I felt that the work I was personally doing mattered (and could potentially impact a large amount of money for our client). Mentorship culture is very strong. The entire premise of their apprenticeship model pushes you to grow and there are potentially mentors available at all levels of the hierarchy. They take your weak areas into account and try to find ways to help you develop Good benefits, perks, and compensation. The firm treats you well

Cons

Hours can be long / volatile, depending on the project. However, this is the nature of consulting

Advice to Management

I feel that one aspect of the firm that could use development is brand recognition. It's a fantastic place that does great work and more people should be aware of that! I think that the firm should... continue to bolster public facing partnerships, such as its prior partnerships with organizations like the World Economic Forum.

I worked at L.E.K. Consulting full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Data driven process gives great grounding in excel and PowerPoint for future roles; Great opportunities to travel within the company. Great place to start career

Cons

Long hours could be avoided with better upfront preparation; Can feel like a resource rather than an employee when office is busy

Advice to Management

Good luck
