For all people working in Big4 and other big companies when the job application asks for the local language how true is it? My local office asks for the local language in their job postings but I know there are some people who do not speak it. If I apply for a position that asks for the local language what are my chances? Deloitte PwC KPMG EY

    In Quebec, French is more important than English. If you don’t speak French we won’t consider your application. It has a lot to do with the culture of the province, a few years back we didn’t mind but now client are asking for French speaking resources.

    I think it depends on the language. After traveling around a bit, i can tell you that if it’s French that is required, then you definitely need it. French speakers tend to hate english lol if it’s other languages, it’s usually more flexible, especially in central/east/northern EU
