Has anyone tried to apply for EB1A in consulting while at one level below the Partner role? Please share your experiences. What were the key criteria that you applied against? Did you also have EB2/EB3 approved i140? Any risks to existing i140 (EB2) application if not approved already? Did you apply it through your consulting firm or through external law firm?

Employer started the GC process under category EB-2: - Apr 2024: Filing date PERM However, I got a promo in Oct 2024 and my employer subsequently re-filed under category EB-1C (International Manager) - Feb 2025: I-140 approved - Jul 2025: I-485 receipt date - Oct 2025: EAD issued - (Jul 2025: PERM approved from EB-2) Wondering whether the previous application under EB-2 is messing with my AOS under EB-1C? Is it taking so much time to get I-485 under EB-1C?

It depends on the client. H-1B legal fees can vary from under $1K to $3500 depending on the size of your employer. This goes up if there is an RFE. Generally speaking, H1B petitions are billed on a flat fee basis and the RFE is likely an additional fee (which could be hourly based).
