Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation is a licensor of full-service retail drug stores operating under the name Shoppers Drug Mart® (Pharmaprix® in Québec). Founded in 1962 by Toronto pharmacist Murray Koffler, we have grown to a national network of more than 1,240 Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix stores across Canada. We’re dedicated to improving the overall health and quality of life of the Canadians we serve. Our conveniently located stores are owned and operated by licensed Associate-Owners who have helped build a brand that is synonymous with exceptional service, value, and trust. We also license or own more than 50 medical clinic pharmacies operating under the name Shoppers Simply Pharmacy® (Pharmaprix Simplement Santé® in Québec) and several luxury beauty destinations operating under the Murale™ banner.​​​

Pharmasave wants to preserve the integrigy of the pharmacy industry. Pharmasave Drugs (National) Ltd. is Canada's third-largest pharmacy operator (based on store count) behind Katz Group, and Shoppers Drug Mart. The drugstore chain operates more than 400 independent franchises in nine of Canada's 10 provinces (except Quebec, where Jean Coutu leads the drugstore market) under the Pharmasave banner. Franchisees control their own stores but are provided with signage, merchandising, and other support from Pharmasave's company headquarters. Founded in 1981, the drugstore chain is governed by its members.
