What does a Communications Advisor do?
An advisor (or adviser) is a person with deeper knowledge in a specific area who utilizes their expertise for the guidance and benefit of others. They bring their vital experience and knowledge to contribute to their clients’ short- and long-term success. Advisors meet with clients to gain a sense of their mindset and ultimate goals. They draw from their experience, expertise, and perspective to help clients shape their goals and craft purposeful next steps. When issues arise, advisors work with their clients to devise tangible solutions.
Advisors meet with clients on an ongoing basis and update, amend, and redraw plans and goals as they are changed or achieved. They offer clients valuable materials and tools to assist with their pursuits and check in with clients if communication slows or becomes less frequent. Advisors serve as a resource for their clients and provide encouragement, advice, and support. Advisors need a minimum bachelor’s degree in communications or related fields.
- Work with 3rd party management team on contracts to include security terms.
- Effectively and efficiently complete third party risk assessments provided by our customers.
- Ensure the accurate implementation, and administration through matrix partners.
- Develop appropriate departmental procedures, processes, and business practices.
- Investigate and resolve security incidents and recommend enhancements to improve security.
- Work closely with subject matter experts and management to develop skill set for non-routine work.
- Ensure all clients receive the highest quality service by performing and manage key steps.
- Monitor, coach, and develop employees up to expected performance standards.
- Provide technical assistance and training.
- Ensure accuracy of data quality during implementation.
- Develop scalable process for valuing new contract terms.
- Create and manage initiatives that improve total medical cost and quality.
- Lead in resolving elevated and complex service complaints.
- Train and support staff and department on an ongoing basis as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to deliver on project goals.
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in business, business administration or computer science or relevant experience.
- A natural leader and problem solver.
- Can lean on decision making and critical thinking skills with confidence.
- Able to collaborate with others.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Prior experience as a consultant.
- Sound product knowledge and demonstrated good work ethic.
