Job training and diversity in staffing is the best in UHN
Best - comparable to many other top institutions Worse - limited dental unless a bit more is paid into it
Benefits such as health care and pension are amazing.
HOOPP pension deductions matched by UHN 112%. Health insurance plans are decent, staff all start with a minimum of 3 weeks vacation.
The benefits package include everything. The union employees do get a better rate than the non-unionized employees.
There are a lot of health benefits and employee discounts to local events such as jays game, medieval times etc.
Great health insurance, started off with 3 weeks of vacation when at entry level
Good extended healthcare. Pension contributions very generous. Vision care not ideal. Paid vacation is good but in later years it takes longer to increase (understandable)
Nothing unusual: sick days, min. dental, min massage. It all depends on how much is one willing to pay (what plan). Some plans are better the the contribution is high.
There are no benefits to UHN casual workers unless you choose to opt in - and then you will have a deduction from your current salary.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
