Select your availability and they may accommodate
it was flexible in a sense: 5:30am-9pm and usually 3 shifts you could take in the day, but the shift are either 5.5 hours or more (I did a 14 hour shift when I was under 18, obviously against policy..and law
You could change shifts with another employee if they agreed, but you were usually given shifts that were not convenient
You can ask the manager for days off if needed(in advance) Also you can choose your shift if you have reasonable reasons such as if you're a student, mother etc...
Only if you are a parent, this will work out better for you
Good work and life balance
from what i know, manage always confirms with baristas for the availability in the coming up weeks, and then setup the rota.
Very Flexible with working around family life and other demands
It depends on manager
it takes long for the manger to confirm the days you want off and sometimes your not guaranteed those days off
