Because Salesforce is such a distributed company, working from home is quite normal. As a group, Ohana@Home (employees who don't work in a Salesforce office) are the second-largest group. (HQ employees in San Francisco form the largest group, of course.)
Very flexible. Those who live out of the city work from home multiple days a week.
There is not enough office space available so many people are forced to work at home
