They have a great collection of lifestyle benefits including private medical cover, gym memberships and bike to work schemes. These benefits really help you to keep a balanced lifestyle!

Benefits package is very good and comprehensive. In the UK you receive a group pension (5% you contribute, MS contributes 7%). Life insurance, accident insurance, critical illness all for a few pounds a month. As I was travelling, I also received approx. £6000 a year to use my personal car or I could take a company car. I liked the ability to buy and sell holidays (5 per year), in years where I knew I would be travelling, I would receive 27 days of paid leave (at 5 years this goes from the standard 25 to 27), then I would purchase 5 giving me a total of 33 holidays in addition to public holidays. However, given that you are so busy with work activities, it could be a struggle to take these as even if you are on holiday that isn't a good enough reason for a sale not to go through or a deal to slip. There are many other positive benefits I was aware of such as child care and company vouchers but these weren't needed by me. Microsoft pays you below the industrial average, my base pay could easily have been £20k extra at an external company and due to a frustrating promotional experience, this was the reason I left. And a year later I'm glad i did, as it has been an even more positive experience with better pay at Salesforce.

Lots of selectable benefits but in reality the system is extremely tricky to understand and use.
