    Best thing was the public transport allowance (or company car) which seems to be standard across all Microsoft roles. This additional benefit increased the overall equivalent base salary by 10%, which was pretty nice

    Being a contractor you get the bare minimum of anything - pretty sure if it was practical they'd stop us accessing the free drinks and fruit too!

    Great choice of benefits and core benefits are very strong. Ideally a higher percentage based on your salary for flexible benefits would be available (2% currently), but self contributions can be made too.
