“I wish there was not a cap on how much we can invest into our 401K, but I don't think it is specific to Kimpton only”

The hard part is earning eligibility through averaging a certain number of hours over a year, but once you have them the benfits are great! PTO, 401k match, an employer-funded HRA account, and BCBS insurance, working for this company has really been great for me and my family! They also have an emergency daycare provider, discounts on a variety of things, and awesome room rates and restaurant discounts company-wide.

The benefits package that is offered is pretty standard as a large company but is very much appreciated.

Best part- Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, 401K, Employee Discount, Paid Time Off. Worst part- Management does not appreciate employees.

time off accrual is decent, the PPO plan has very good coverage, and they profit match for the 401K

Best thing is customized 401k Plan. You can choose how much you want taken out of every paycheck and its fairly easy.

The company offers a good benefit plan.

The benefits are expensive especially for someone who's an hourly employee.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Banquet Server in Salt Lake City, Utah

You only accrue vacation time at your hourly rate. It's great that we get it at all, as it's not common in the service industry for a good service professizonal, but since servers only make minimum wage without tips, we only accumulate time off at about $7.50 an hour. It's just not financially doable to take time off at this rate, so the vacation pay ends up being just pennies on the dollar bonus. No guaranteed sick days, so you better save your tips. The benefits are probably good if you can get full time status, but as a banquet server it's very hard to have a consistent schedule and they don't really schedule anyone full time except for the banquet manager who is salaried. It's hard to get clear answers on how benefits work. Accounting is nice but pretty clueless/sometimes misinformed and HR is offsite in Denver.
