Best thing is the nice amount of hours holiday, holiday pay and discount card. Each store also had a social fund for Christmas parties etc, which was very nice.

You don't really get much from Sainsbury's really other than an offer to pay for unison incase you want to take legal proceedings against Sainsbury's. But that's about it really.

As a deputy store manage you can earn up to 20% of your base salary each year. You also get private healthcare.
10% discount in Sainsburys and Argos, 25% discount in habitat (with occasional boosts to 15%) probably on par with most retailers salary is average to low compared to other companies for admin and analyst roles. there seems to be a lack of understanding of roles in this respect. Some benefits available to senior level only. The bonus improves quite drastically between roles - last year my bonus was £600 while a senior manager's bonus was twice my annual salary
For C4 level employers which are majority of software developers (C1 is the lowest, C6 is the highest) there are almost no extra benefits.
