Competitive benefits in line with most IT companies in the area
Great benefits package and perks offered by the company.
Competitive health benefits package (although this might change now that a US company has bought Halogen). Limited vacation days, but you could "buy" additional days.
Very good benefits package - full benefits, 2 weeks vacation, and RRSP employer contributions
Standard health benefits (including some vision) with ability to add dependents. Vacation policy is evolving for the better as is flexibility to work from home.
the benefits package is comprehensive, and time off policies are generous
Vacation policy allows you to buy extra vacation time twice a year. Plus you earn additional vacation for each year you've been with the company.
The RRSP match could be more generous and isn't really on par with industry standards. While Halogen does have a vacation purchase plan where you can purchase an additional 2 weeks of vacation. The base 3 weeks vacation for someone coming in with a lot of experience is less than what is available in the market place. That being said; the new CEO seems to provide additional days from time to time (2 extra days to use in the summer) which is making up for that.
Best: RRSP contributions, good dental and medical, ongoing training opportunities Worst: vacation generally limited to 3 weeks, but company allows you to buy additional vacation days
Pros: RSP contributions, healthcare coverage Cons: Nothing really
