Was laid off by Google and told I can roll my 401k into my IRA. Currently have ~$40K in my 401K; half traditional & half Roth. Also have a traditional & Roth IRA - use the traditional to backdoor contribute to my Roth. Do you recommend I convert my traditional 401k money to Roth first before moving to IRA, or do the rollover first, and then convert from traditional to Roth in the IRA? Know you can only convert $6K from traditional to Roth in the IRA each year.

Okaaaay 🐠 need some opinions on this. I turned down B4 to come to Google (at a smaller salary admittedly). The partner from the B4 reached out to me with a pretty significant offer, I know him personally as we worked together at my old company which has its benefits.. Offered M1, $160k base, $10k sign on, and 20% bonus. Currently at $115k base, 30k/yr in RSU and 15% bonus. I’m a PgM at Google and still a consultant by definition, figure I’ll be in consulting for the long run. Thoughts on this?

I have a bachelors in Biology from University of California Riverside. I have been job searching for 6 months now and have had no luck. I was previously an illness response specialist for a vendor company at Google. I’m thinking of trying to get into becoming a healthcare data analyst. Does anyone have any advice on what to learn or do to get an entry level job in health care analytics? Should I learn SQL and Tableau or take a certificate course. I would like to start working soon.
