‘After each year of employment, every employee gets an extra vacation day.’
‘Maternity and paternity leave. Gender equality for Mums & Dads’
Great private health insurance available to employees. They have separate spending plans for counselors/therapist if needed so it's not with your RMT/Physio spending plan
The RRSP matching is great!
15 days holiday to start, extra day per year. No stock options unless joining in a more senior role.
Good benefits, definitely within the standards of the industry
Does it make sense to not ever buy a place in the Bay Area and just invest the money in SPY, and keep my RSU, maximize my ESSP and 401k? This is the most effortless approach for me, plus, I do not want to buy a place around 1M but translate to 1 hour of commute to my work. Anything wrong with it? For the record, I do have real estates in Seattle too.
I've got an interview at Amazon (specifically AWS) for a non-technical position this week. Is AWS as bad as they say it is, even for non-engineers? 😅 Also, I never realized how mediocre AMZ's benefits are...what are some of the reasons (besides RSUs) that would make anyone work there over other tech companies???
How do you stay organized at work? I know I have a lot of projects to manage and a ton of action items to complete, but I can only do so much before I forget what I was supposed to remember to do. I want to go into the new year strong especially when I come back from 3 weeks vacation.
RRSP matching is good for helping to build long-term retirement comfort. As well there are cash bonuses tied to company and individual performance so if you do well, you'll naturally earn more in salary and in bonuses.
Great health & extended benefits, an additional day off for every year of service and fexible work!
Good amount of holidays, RRSP matching, very nice office, good dental, health, eyewear, life insurance etc. Overall a good package
Good benefits, fair health and vision, good time off and 401k match
Nothing really; unlimited sick leave, work from home and good medical
The benefits are decent and about on par with many Canadian companies of similar size.
