- Vacation & Paid Time Off(5 comments)
‘EventMobi genuinely cares about the people that they employ and make it clear that the company is trying to do the best that it can with the money allotted for health/wellness and other employee-focused budgets. The benefits package could be a bit better, but they do a LOT that isn't necessarily recognized.’
- Free Lunch or Snacks(3 comments)
‘Free breakfast is three generic cereals and plain toast. Coffee (no decaf) and a handful of generic teas. They stopped the lunch program all together. ’
It offers a very flexible and open environment
Not much going for it
Insurance is pretty average. Nothing spectacular. The usual things covered. Vacation time is standard.
We got a pretty standard Benefits package but on top of that, we got extra money to put towards wellbeing. For example, you could put $200/year towards a gym membership. At the time we also had additional access to various services that offered access or deals on wellness products and services. Instead of sick days and vacation days or personal days, all. Our time off was from one bucket. So you can use your days off however you need. We were also offered stock options.

Good spread of benefits from a company of this size. Healthcare/dental/optical and ritual are included. No included lunch plans but other benefits make up for it. Opportunities for additional compensation available through optional courses and great work trips/outings.
The benefits package is extremely lackluster, way worse than other Toronto tech startups. AVOID!!!
Pros: - $400 to use on League (benefits site/app) for health/wellness - $1000 for any paramedical area (massage, physio, osteopathy, etc.) - An accruing sabbatical-style vacation plan that granted a month of leave (if you don't use it during the 5-year accrual, if I remember correctly) after 5 years with the company - Strong recommendation and insistence on actually USING your vacation days so you don't lose them Cons: - The 'lump-sum' amount is far inferior to plans that offer benefits for EACH paramedical area ($500 for massage, $500 for osteopathy, $500 for physio, etc.) - Time off is split between vacation days (paid out if you leave) and personal days (not paid out if you leave)
League can be used for various lifestyle expenses
It was not complete coverage. Things like over the counter medication prescribed by a doctor were not covered.
* a good combination of league.com, standard health /dental benefits make EventMobi appealing for work health. * could use a few more than 10 business days as starting point for vacation. additional personal days other than 6 would also be nice.
