    Most employees start off with a minimum of 3 weeks, 1 week can be carried over to the next year

    It's great that you can carry over one week each year, but you can only ever add one additional week to your outlined benefits. (Ex: if you have 3 weeks holidays, you can used two and carry one week over. Then the next year you'll have 4 weeks holidays. However you can't carry 2 weeks over.

    They will pay vacation time after working there for 1 year. How I was paid by hour if I didn't come in for work when I was sick, I will not get aid for that day.

    Basically it is just the mandated time off. You can try to negotiate a better arrangement, but the employer is under no obligation to agree
