Solid defined benefits pension plan and good health/dental plan for full time staff. Starting vacation time is 3 or 4 weeks depending on position.
Employees in my department are contract for the first three years and can opt for % in lieu of benefits. After three years, staff has to take the benefit package as part of being an employee. The wages are so low that it's almost impossible to pay rent, utilities, metro pass, and food.
