As a Risk Management business consultant, you will support clients businesses in fulfilling compliance requirements cost-efficiently, providing insights for management to confirm that the company is on target in achieving its expected return while controlling exposure to risk. By refining and optimizing our clients' abilities to identify risks, evaluate scenarios, determine response and monitor progress, we create substantial shareholder and economic value.
Accenture's Risk Management group works with clients to protect and increase economic and shareholder value while fulfilling compliance requirements cost-efficiently and implementing effective risk governance and operating models. Skills Required:
  • Understanding of the major regulations impacting Banks and/or Investment Banks (e.g. Dodd Frank & Volcker, MiFID II, EMIR, FATCA, Basel 3, Fundamental Review of the Trading Book, Short Selling, ICB, Living Wills etc)
  • Understanding the impacts these regulations have on Bank's business processes and infrastructure and what Banks are doing from a business perspective to mitigate or position competitively (e.g. Market Structure change, Capital / RWA Optimisation)
  • Have a proven track record of successful delivery in managing significant programmes/projects in the Regulatory area
  • Desire and interest in performing impact assessments, identifying commonality in Regulatory themes, and looking at the pipeline and direction of travel for Banks in 2013
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders and having appropriate gravitas to operate successfully at that level
  • Experience of running Governance Committees with senior stakeholders, with all associated processes
  • Proven ability to rapidly distill key facts from multiple sources where you either have too much or too little information, and to synthesise appropriate ideas and actions to move forwards
  • Thorough understanding of the administration and hygiene side of project and programme management, e.g. RAIDs, plans, budgets, forecasts, resource management, etc
  • Proven ability to cope under stress with tight deadlines and challenging constraints
  • Have an approach to working with your teams that gets the most out of them but also brings them along with the change and grows them as individuals
  • Experience or desire to shape client propositions and commercials
  • Ideally you will be degree educated to a 2:1 level
