I have been working at Workday full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Culture is ok but needs improvement

    Cons

New management, hire comes in and ruins morale...you are never valued and always replaceable. That is the mentality.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees that have been around. They know what's best for the company not some new hot shot executive. Action on submitted complaints.

I have been working at Workday full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Technology is the best I have ever sold...WDAY backs up innovation, support, customer stories claims..they are real

    Cons

Sales alignment, transitioning from those who benefited from the IPO to those who are new.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider how you are engaging new employees, especially those who were not Employe #?..Not sure why everyone who was part of the IPO needs to tell me what number employee number they were.

Former Employee - Recruiter in Pleasanton, CA (US)

I worked at Workday full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

I was proud to recruit for such a fast growing, disruptive, well respected company. The story was so fun and exciting to tell. My colleagues were fantastic.

    Cons

Leadership in recruitment was weak, very little support from management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire stronger PEOPLE managers. A stronger Talent Acquisition leadership team, that treat their team with respect and support, is needed.

I have been working at Workday

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to move into other positions within Workday. Since this is a fast growing company, many positions open up every year.

    Cons

With change comes movement of leaders within the company. So, who your manager is this year may not be the same person next year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to promote within and give opportunity to others that exceed expectations

    Don't believe anything they say!

I have been working at Workday full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Great Pay
    Travel Opportunities
    Fantastic product
Great internal software eg; skype, salesforce etc

    Cons

Terrible culture - they will go behind your back and lie to you. There is no transparency or honesty
Global company - very confusing different rules in different locations
No freedom or autonomy - you will be under the microscope and micro managed over pointless irrelevant things
Lack of confidence in company brand - the company is petrified and does not trust their sales reps to sell their software
    No feedback ever given
Does not care about sales results or performance - I did 200% of my quota and was still out on a performance improvement plan

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For starters I recommend to management that if they have a problem with somebody they do not fear confrontation. Management seem to throughly enjoying going behind others backs and nobody appreciates it and it solves nothing. Rather than offering employees stock bonuses I recommend creating a culture of honesty and integrity. Stop focusing on the little minor things like spelling mistakes in an email report and start focusing on driving results.
