I worked at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Wonderful perks like discount DVD products, employee screening and good compensation package (esp. Pension).
A fast-paced environment where you learn many valuable skills.
    Great team work and rapport.

    Cons

It was stressful at times to deal with the demanding requests from the U.S. Headquarters office. (I worked at the Canadian Division)
There isn't much work life balance as management.

  2.

I worked at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

A household name in entertainment, WBHE is sure to boost any person's resume. Perks include access to surplus DVDs and screenings (provided you are full time and not contract), as well as a great gym, occasional star sightings, and surprisingly okay cafeteria food. They are quite accommodating with personal conflicts, kids, and sick days. Compensation is good.

    Cons

Prepare for a life of quiet cubicle work. However, if this is something you are accustomed to, this might not even be a con. Although they are fierce to being on the cutting edge of something new and amazing, legal issues and office politics make it impossible to stay current and creative. Office politics in general made the office tense more often than not, and made meetings and interactions with higher ups uncomfortable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be more of an effort to help employees feel like a team instead of competing against each other. I saw this across multiple departments. Maybe fostering a more relaxed environment would increase morale across the board.

I have been working at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment full-time

    Pros

WBHE has always been considerate of work-life balance, although it may vary depending on your supervisor. The benefits are fair and the pay is decent. There is enjoyment in working for the leading entertainment company in Hollywood.

    Cons

WIth the physical home entertainment category on the decline, the work environment has changed. Decisions seem more based on personal gain than driving success of the company objectives. Lots of heirarchy and approvals required to get things done. The bonus program is also a little on the light side in comparison with others.

I have been working at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment

    Pros

The people for the most part are smart, dedicated, and helpful.

    Cons

Like with any large organization communication, collaboration, employee development, and vision quest are challenging.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would recommend improving communication and developing an ingrained vision quest characteristic. These should be core values which drive things such a employee development and collaboration to reach the overall mission of the company.

I worked at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Most of the people who work there are really smart and nice.

    Cons

There is no rhyme or reason for how they promote people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you are laying people off you may want to lay off some of the chiefs and keep a few Indians. Very top heavy organization and not enough support staff.

I have been working at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Life Balance - ok. People (depending on department) fun, nice and generally good. Salary - ok. Perks - ok.

    Cons

Senior Management - concerned with bottom line and protecting their jobs. Poor communication. Punitive hostile behavior from some VP's and above. Culture - not great. Morale - poor. Promotions - forget it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would leave some advice, but I know they won't read it. And because one of the biggest issues is lack of communication. why bother.
