I worked at Walt Disney Company full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great team of people who are willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Excellent compensation and benefits.

    Cons

Very little to no training for new staff. Too much interference from senior management who do not let their team do their jobs. An environment where you always have to CYA.

I worked at Walt Disney Company as an intern (more than an year)

    Pros

A worldwide entertainment phenomenon, Disney is one of the best possible employer names to associate with your career for future employment. The portfolio of brands is second to none, and Disney has a proven track record of creating magical consumer experiences. The culture is very fun and energetic, and the people are as cheerful and fantastic as you would imagine. Pre-screenings, toy sales, and other perks abound as it is quite a glamorous employer.

    Cons

The compensation as an intern was quite poor, as they know they don't need to pay fair wages to attract top talent. Also, the opportunities for career growth in the Canadian office were almost non-existent as it was already a lean structure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find more opportunities to retain new talent with a rotational graduate program or more structured employee evaluations at the end of internships.

I worked at Walt Disney Company as an intern (more than an year)

    Pros

Freedom to choose own breaks, very little in-office time, free park admission, discounts, and admission to some really neat private events.

    Cons

Not widely respected among office environment, often hard to advance with company after internship ends. Also split off days wasn't really ideal for events and time-off was sometimes a nightmare to get.
