Tolerable overall until about 7 months ago. Then it got really bad

Department Manager (Former Employee) Guelph, ON

    ProsMost fellow associates were great

ConsLack of respect for employees. I think management thought we were all uneducated low lifes
The pay is not enough for all the things you are expected to do. The company takes credit for the money associates raise for charities.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your staff. They live in the communities so they might have a better idea of what the needs are than someone sitting in an office. To get respect you have to give respect. Pay more so your staff can live better.

    Frustrating

Division Manager (Former Employee) Brantford, ON

ProsThe rate of pay is very competative

ConsUnless you happen to get one of the elusive full time or manager positions, expect few hours.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork on Communication. Information that came down was either late, or given to the wrong person. Also, having to find out that you were being downsized from a source outside the company doesn't do much for your rep.
