    Cons

Too many use it as a stepping stone, need to invest in people who want to be there for the long-term

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at University of Miami full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good And It's a good environment depending On department.

    Cons

Not much room for growth unless you change departments. Also several cases where They have laid off propale that are good employees so not so much value for employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There are no promotion options unless you change departments. That is not a good approach to keep good employees. Also, when positions are postes sí aleatoria about who you know, not really what your qualifications are in the majority of the cases.

    Pros

Working as a student, they are understanding of scheduling conflicts. They value you and value your education and thus are easy to get along with.

    Cons

There were not many cons to working here. It was good side money as a student trying to work part time. I would work here again.

I have been working at University of Miami

    Pros

    Tuition remission is great benefit

    Cons

Low salaries lack of promotion opportunities

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire from within -- stop hiring from corporate sector to bring in fresh ideas --- those folks with fresh ideas will only last in university culture a couple of years and leave the "old" loyal employee you've overlooked --to do the work you initially hired the external candidate to do for you
