I have been working at University of California Berkeley as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

Great office setting, everyone gets along and can mix between departments. This is the top public school in the world, this comes with its own perks. There is a lot of freedom to make decisions and grow for yourself.

    Cons

No career path, they do not offer advances in position. Often times go and hire from other schools instead of promoting their own staff. Not much room for growth in that sense, but allow to grow within your position.

I worked at University of California Berkeley part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I've met many amazing people here and I worked part time in the Dining Commons.

    Cons

The position I had was almost more of a commission-based gig (I came in when needed which was only once a month) and there were several times where I was asked to come in when the DC was closed and no one was onsite to open the doors. There was a lot of lack of communication between my team and the upper management in terms of general work policies (where to keep supplies, where to wash up, even basic training and information about how to use the facility) and I think that's what frustrated me the most about this job.
