I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

very open to you moving to different teams within the organization (and there are tons), since I have been their it seems like upper management is making the right moves to decrease office politics and do things the right way.

    Cons

Cannot offer their own health insurance, the health insurance we do get is pretty bad (as in high deductibles, etc). Also on most teams you have to switch jobs to get a significant increase in pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your talent rather than letting them leave to other companies.

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

great opportunities to improve and develop one's career
Awesome supervisor and manager always willing to help you on the job
    excellent training, very thorough.

    Cons

I had a very understanding supervisor, however the "occurrences" before warnings are not a effective way to assess the performance of employees. I had none, but a lot of my co-workers stressed and struggled to meet the requirements and they were very good workers.

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

United Health Care has Good Benefits, and there are some pretty nice people who work there. Once you figure out what is expected of you, you can be successful but have to work at it, it is not just given to you.

    Cons

It is hard to get time off, and you have a lot of expectations to meet. It is not impossible but very demanding.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the front line employees and help them with the tools they need to be successful.

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The work pressure is lesser as compared to other IT companies with all the in house projects and thus job security

    Cons

The location of the noida office is too far to even travel by a cab. Apart from that I don't see any drawback.

    Pros

Immediate management was involved and understood what was going on. Resources were available to get your work done. Working hard and producing excellent results was rewarded. Lots of opportunities for career advancement.

    Cons

The usual bureaucracy and red tape in a large company. Requests for some things took longer than they should have. PTO isn't paid out when you leave the company.
