Current Employee – been working at Towers Watson full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Great people - top quality associates who are highly engaged and take pride in their work.
Impressive book of business - many of the top Fortune 500 companies
Strong centralized support for intellectual capital development, senior leadership does a great job keeping an eye on the market and proactively acting on a changing benefits environment
Cons – Expectations of TW clients and Senior Management are high - this is a very fast paced environment and balancing work and life can sometimes be difficult (but not impossible). This job is not for everyone!
Advice to Senior Management – None

Former Employee – worked at Towers Watson full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – - Consulting practitioners are very experienced and knowledgeable in their technical field
- No ego's exist compared to other Big 4 firms
- Does not require the same travel demands as other Big 4 firms
Cons – Towers Watson is a relatively new public firm and is getting used to the demands of forecasting/reporting results to Wall Street. It is obvious that the culture has changed to ensuring selling and billable hours targets are achieved to ensure forecasted targets are met.

Current Employee – been working at Towers Watson full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Benefits are good and HR support is great. This is a good company for fresh graduates who wish to earn fair enough compensation. You'll have an opportunity to learn more as you progress with training sets that would help you get better.
Cons – Management is not really supportive. Less compensation compared to other companies. No work/life balance. Looking into performance, you know you've earned a great number during the performance review, no absences, no lates, great customer satisfaction scores, great feedback. However, senior management will always find a way to make sure that the score you got will be less. The ending, your expected increase will greatly drop and for some people, they won't get any. That's how their magic runs. In addition, they want all the employees to work double time. What end up happening? Employees spend OTs without pay because their managers won't agree to file their overtime. Management only thinks that you are great the last time you were. Management pushes you and to motivate you, they'll give incentives in which they doesn't want to give away. They'll give you so many reasons on why you're not eligibile for the incentive after days of full time work just to earn that extra amount of money. When there's an open post for a higher job grade/level, they will definitely look for someone that are within their circle of friends but are WORTHLESS and NON-performers and for the performers with exeptional skills, talents, ability, they'll turn them down.
Advice to Senior Management – To the upper management, the employees deserves better. If you really care, then do something about this. You know what are the attrition rates reports are showing. Tell your AM, SAM, directors, senior directors, and any one from the higher positions that it's not fair to manipulate scores. We no longer trust you guys.

Current Employee – been working at Towers Watson full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – If you work hard and you are in focus of management you will have a fast career, a lot of different work opportunities is a good chance to learn a lot, those who give a clear commitment get support in development opportunities
Cons – high pressure although the company is very healthy, those few at the top of the company have a high bonus when the normal employees have to suffer in bonus. The development program isn't structured. the management isn't able to say thank you to the employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Be happy that your employees are highly loyal. Think about that the stakeholder are as important than the shareholder

Former Employee – worked at Towers Watson full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Variety of work, flexibility to manage own work loads and good clients generally.
Cons – Targets, targets and more targets combined with requirement to charge for everything, open brown nosing and open 'sucking up' to move ahead, lack of collaboration and competition with colleagues.
Advice to Senior Management – You lost the Watson Wyatt culture and sold your souls to rampant individualism, rewarding same and similar behaviours and suppressing difference. A good place to learn and then move on, but not a nice place to work and try make a difference in the finish.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
