    Pros

As a retail employee, diligence was recognized by most managers and was compensated by flexible schedules and giving responsibility, which added to one's skill set.

    Cons

Additional responsibilities are not compensated. There are a lot of empty promises made by managers and district managers. When promotions are actually given, pay is barely increased. Opportunity to move from retail to corporate is rare.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice to corporate management would be to stop looking down on your retail workers. Corporate employees often visit stores without acknowledging the retail employees or speaking to them on what can be done to improve the stores. Many employees in my particular district were young, educated individuals with fresh ideas regarding marketing and merchandising. Instead, the corporate offices are full of older males with stale, out of date ideas and trends.

Former Employee - Help Desk Analyst in Westborough, MA (US)

    Pros

Causal work environment. You were going against traffic on the Mass Pike. However it also was during the summer, so I can't honestly speak to how the commute would be in the Winter. It was also pretty friendly and off on it's own in a business park, so it was pretty secure.. There didn't really seem to be a dividing line between contractor and permanent, the way there can be at some companies.

    Cons

Very strong male to female mix. I was the only woman on my team of about 20 people. Direction seemed to change every week, if not more so. It was almost as if they had carried over the policies and way of doing things on the sales floor, where frequent movement of merchandize is supposed to "Fool" people into thinking some item of clothing is new, to their back offices. Since it was out in Westborough, this commute can be come very troublesome in the wintertime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more organized. This is why your WIFI got hacked and hackers were able to get into your servers where all of your customer's credit cards were stored. . The company direction seemed to change very frequently- when that happens someone can thing of something important, like locking down the WIFI, and because everything is so disorganized, it falls through the cracks. .

    Pros

Their pay is decent once you become a manager but they will try to lowball you. Vacation Time, Personal Time, Sick Time. You'll learn a lot. They promote from with in and although their training programs are disorganized its a great way to develop yourself.

    Cons

Most manager are incompetent or part of that whole I've been here a long time so i'm getting promoted thing. They store managers aren't held accountable for doing things the right way.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The regional level managers should do more pop-up visits so they can get a real idea of how their stores are running and talk to the associates to see how they are really being treated. So many things are done the wrong way in this company. I felt like I was in a sorority here. The number of male managers here is astonishing low.
