Current Employee – been working at TIBCO Software full-time
Pros – TIBCO has great and innovative technologies and products in middleware area with great people.
Cons – Growth from core technology solutions is showing a limit. Newly merged softwares barely shows performance. Too much good people who had company spirit at early stage has left and many unqualified employees from IBM, Oracle, Progress is newly joining. It's getting lost its potential and identity. Current stock price is slowing down.
Advice to Senior Management – Top management, such as EVP level is perfect for strategy and direction. But regional management has lost the leadership and it's full of politics.

Current Employee – been working at TIBCO Software full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – -Freedom to work as you like; explore different possibilities and approaches to implement a feature
-little to zero micro-management; almost flat hierarchy.
-every1 knows who'se every1 - including HR dept people (altho this might change with the growing numbers of new hires)
-most of the people are amazingly talented and knowledgeable and fun to work with.
Cons – -lack of growth beyond 2-3 yrs.(probably due to lack of appropriate people in mgmt positions)
-lack of mentoring of new hires
Advice to Senior Management – -try to look out for people who've been with the company for long periods and who're looking to stay longer as well. A lot of good talent is lost just because they don't see any growth (salary + role).
-Make mentoring a part of your culture - new guys feel really lost or out of place.

Current Employee – been working at TIBCO Software
Pros – TIBCO Software is a great place for growth if you have the initiative. Put in the extra effort and the opportunities are limitless. The technology being developed here is exciting and disruptive.
Cons – Those who do not demonstrate high energy and initiative may end up with a stagnant career. Some may become frustrated and leave.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue doing what you're doing. The executive team serves as an inspiration to employees, continue to expose all employees to product road maps and corporate strategy.

Former Employee – worked at TIBCO Software full-time
Pros – The products have a good reputation and the CEO, Vivek, has made sure the company's image is very polished, for example, the expensive looking visitors hall, million dollar annual Christmas shindig (where Vivek brings his latest Trophy Date).
Cons – There is rampant incompetence at TIBCO because people don't succeed or fail based on how smart or talented they are, but how connected they are. Especially in Marketing, people who produce some of the lowest quality work product imaginable are not only not laid off, but actually promoted, while those who produce high quality work are dismissed or laid off if they are not connected to the "right" people. For instance, it's very, very helpful to have a family member or close friend in HR or management. I believe this is the reason TIBCO is never as successful as it wants to be and will never be in the same league as Oracle.
There are huge ego issues at TIBCO. When you work there, they are constantly drilling into you (practically spamming your work inbox with emails regarding Vivek's latest media appearances, various other media pieces) how successful they are, how special TIBCO is and how much better they are than their competitors, such as Oracle. You're regularly reminded of Vivek's latest media related diss of Oracle and its CEO When you leave TIBCO, you see that most people have never even heard of the company and that TIBCO is simply a "legend in their own mind."
People are laid off indiscriminately and verbally abused, without regard to their talent or personal circumstances, but because of the rampant politics and egos at the company. Some joke that Vivek lays people off when he wants to buy another car to add to his already large collection of luxury automobiles.
Advice to Senior Management – Try focusing a little less on how you appear to the world and more on running a less dysfunctional company.
