I worked at TASC full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – They have some of the best benefits. Not only do they offer college reimbursement, but they also offer to fund certifications courses that don't count against the college fund. They do try to keep people for a career.
Cons – There are some really great managers, and some not so good managers as with any company.
Advice to Senior Management – Senior management needs to ensure that middle management cares for their people which is the reason the company is successful.

I worked at TASC full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – The people. Great individuals working towards team goals.
Cons – The work environment has changed in the past few years. Senior management was usually promoted from within or at least came with a government background. Newer management has come from outside and hasn't been able to figure out the government contracting environment.

I have been working at TASC full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Great people with shared goals made the place a great place to work. A lot of diverse projects to work on if you are located in Northern Virginia area. Good pay and flexible work arrangements, depending on the type of position and your manager.
Cons – Benefits have declined each year since TASC was sold to KKR and General Atlantic. New Senior Leadership that came in after the sale in 2009 was from outside the Defense Industry and it showed. Everything in the company now is about making more and more money. Consistent downsizing to allow more money to be sent to Equity Firms.
Advice to Senior Management – This company is all about the people that support the programs for the government. Many people in the company have complained about how much more management was brought into the company after 2009, while many productive staft, especially those that support across the corporation, where laid off. Morale has greatly suffered because of this, and that is sad. TASC used to do fun things with for their employees, not so now. It is just a place to get a paycheck.

I have been working at TASC full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Lots of freedom to set the core hours that you work, occasional telecommuting, travel that is usually within reason, good work for the pay if you can get it.
Cons – Continual concern about your position, lots of lay offs right now, the companies business practices really need help. No training, very limited advancement opportunities.

I have been working at TASC full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good managers wiling to help you out, interesting work, friendly atmosphere. Depending on job, work schedule can be very flexible.
Cons – Some benefits have decreased in the last couple of years such as less contribution/matching to 401k plans, certain aspects of health care plans have become more expensive (higher out of pocket expenses), maximum allowable PTO rollover from year to year is decreasing, amount employees can contribute to flex spending account has decreased, etc. This seems to be a general trend in most companies in this type of industry though, so it might be comparable to what other companies are doing.
