I have been working at T-Mobile part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Commission is competitive, base pay is good, plenty of additional perks, benefits, and opportunities for contest prizes and recognition. The uniform is very lax, and overall the work environment is great.

    Cons

Customer service and tech support can end up taking up a lot of your time. This can be frustrating on a commission based income.

I have been working at T-Mobile full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Culture and company trajectory are what encourage me to come to work each day. We have fun, people around are generally supportive of each other and their accomplishments. Most importantly, the company is growing again and seemingly we continue to deliver new initiatives across many levers as needed. We are finally thinking big and you can have the confidence to cut out anything that is "too small" (and subject to being immaterial) with an honest dialogue with your leadership.

Work-life balance is real, especially sitting in an area with some other technology companies in the likes of Amazon and Microsoft where work hours can be daunting and recognition low. And, we get paid what we are worth.

    Cons

With a lot of great people around all at the same level it job advancement could be timely and not achievable for the majority who want to advance in title, as org is flat and turnover is low.

I have been working at T-Mobile full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I started out as an intern, and was hired on full-time on my last day. T-Mobile is growing like crazy, and it's a great time to join the team -- The culture is very 'work hard play hard' people tend to leave the office by 4, but they get in before 8. Can be a struggle, but it's rewarding work and there are GREAT people everywhere you turn.

    Cons

The intern program itself was not very helpful in terms of finding interns longterm opportunities w/ the company, it is really up to your own determination and networking. Also, the company is so large that internal candidates don't have much of an advantage over first-time applicants.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice for the intern program coordinators is: less intern parties and more legitimate networking opportunities.

I have been working at T-Mobile full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great working environment. Work life balance could be a challenge at times when running IT operations for such a large organization but management is very accommodating. Great culture and one of the best management to work for. They do their best to accommodate long working hours and make a friendly environment to work.

    Cons

There are lots of opportunity to grow, theoretically, but the path for growth is not clearly defined. You have to set your own goals and pursue hard otherwise you might ended in the same positions for years.
Personal development is not a priority, There is not training program for employees and you have to train on your own.
Quality education is not always a priority. Most leadership is based on experience.
Perks used to be better but they are getting worse.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote training and development programs for both hard skills and management.
Embrace change and harvest quality education from management programs.
Clearly define career ladders and path for growth.
