Cons – Horrible appraisal process
Salary & perks are so pathetic that they cant say they are paid by MNC

If u r manager likes, no matter what u'll survive
Advice to Senior Management – Check for the Attrition in AP level, upper management have different vision & views, but middle management is pathetic, only politics & they behave like it is their dad's company... high time to rewrite the polices

Former Employee – worked at Syntel full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Some of Syntel`s client are large Multinationals so employees get good exposure to the market.
Cons – Syntel is just another body shopping company so there is not much to learn and grow technically. Management is poor and treat developers as construction workers.
Advice to Senior Management – Give respect to techies. Don`t expect developers to do sales job. Hire business students sales.

Current Employee – been working at Syntel full-time for more than a year
Pros – Nothing, None, Zero, Nil, Null
Cons – 1. Horrible offshore team, 4 fresher’s & 1 experienced guy.
2. They don’t keep up the promise on GC processing, Syntel never ever going to do GC processing for their employees
3. Director’s & Account managers are dumb, they don’t have any clue on client’s business.
4. If you work hard and deliver the project then management doesn’t have time to appreciate your work, but when if there are any little delay’s on project then they will escalate it to higher level & keep lot of pressure on employees
5. No professionalism while dealing with clients, still got struck in Indian vegetable bargaining business.
6. Less pay with minimal benefits, a janitor can earn more than a project lead. Less than 2% hike, even if you work your ass off nights & weekends around the year
Advice to Senior Management – Give some respect to employees & their families

Former Employee – worked at Syntel
Pros – Good infrastructure and work life balance .
Cons – Poor and lazy management.
Seldom listen to employees.
Just believes in freshers to finish the project.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't throw experienced people out of company just for cost cutting reasons.
Don't believe that every work can be done with freshers alone.
Remember LEGACY comes from experience and it will give success and growth to the company.

Former Employee – worked at Syntel full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – syntel being a small firm privdes lot of opportunities to take up responsibilities, you get thrown into the deep end of the pool often and made to swim to survive
Cons – Syntel still is a company run with an old mindset. meritocracy is not valued as much a seniority. Also, syntel seems to be a low cost competitor and hence refrains from investing in talent which is a must for a company that has been around for as long as Infosys has.
Advice to Senior Management – value meritocracy, develop talent, retain employees and encourage them to go beyond their current limits

Current Employee – been working at Syntel full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Good opportunity to learn and grow early in the career. Early opportunity to work on challenging projects and areas. Some flexibility in changing domains and projects
Cons – Compensation below the industry standards, processes and policies not well defined and laid out properly, management focus on billing only
Advice to Senior Management – Focus on long term growth rather than looking at the short term benefits, more focus on employee development and growth, compensate the employees as per industry standards, treat employees as a human rather than just a resource
