    I worked at Subway

    Pros

    Nothing to complicated
You'll do fine as long as you know what you're doing

    Cons

Sometimes there's only 1 person working, which is yourself. And you have to take care of everything. Even in rush hour

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be cheap and hire more than 1 person to work in rush hour

I worked at Subway full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Work for the #1 quick service franchise in the world. Health benefits were decent. Location was great if you have a car (free parking). Random Subway "gifts" through out the year. Decent Salary (although not paid enough to deal with the office politics). Regular 8:30am-5pm Mon-Fri hours.

    Cons

Salary too low to deal with office politics. Zero room to grow in the company. Office drama. Poor management. EXTREME favouritism. Toxic work environment. No one backs you up when you're right. HR located in US so they always fall back on office manager which gets swept under the rug. Boss is quick to yell at you and TWIST your words so you sound like you're insulting her all the time. Only 30 minute lunch (timed) so not much time if you don't bring a lunch. only 7 minute breaks. If you're on time but system take long to load to punch in you're considered late.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to be a manager to ALL employees. Do not give special treatment to your best friend. Respect everyone that works there. Quit twisting everyones words so it sounds like they are personally insulting you. Take advice (you don't know everything). Take a chill pill once in a while.

I worked at Subway part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

It was close to where I live and paid minimum wage

    Cons

Horrible hours, horrible management, horrible training takes almost 10 hours straight on your computer to complete. Most locations close late during the week which means they have one person to do all the closing work. Most locations are short staffed so when it gets busy, it's horrible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on how you lay people off. If you tell someone they are doing a good job for several weeks, dont tell them how bad of a worker they were when you are in the process of firing them.

I worked at Subway part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Personal growth - a great opportunity to learn how to be patient, polite and amicable

    Cons

Rush hour - customers tend to be very impatient and rude during rush hours. So if you're not a very patient person, fast food services would not be the best place to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Staff more workers during rush hours.
