    Pros

This is the best place to work. The pay and benefits are great! Your knowledge will grow, as you will be tasked with many projects. Most of all the people are great, very diversified! I miss my "work family".

    Cons

None really. If you don't like New York city life then this is not the place for you. HQ is in the middle of Times Square.

I have been working at Standard Chartered Bank full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Very good training, Learning experience, Work life balance, Facilities, Subsidised staff loan rates

    Cons

Internal HR policies that discourage internal promotions and growth. An internal promotion will not give you the next grade and salary until almost an year has passed in the new role, whereas a externally recruited person will get the same immediately and probably with a higher salary.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promotion based salary increments should not be restricted by policy to a maximum percentage, it should be open for industry average. Improve on the very lengthy internal HR review and screening process.

    Cons

not equal opportunities for all, ethnic imbalance and bias

Value your people more; over emphasis towards shareholders value. Learn from Alibaba - Customers and employees first, shareholders second. In Stanchart, it's Shareholders first, customer second, employees last.
