I worked at Sprint Nextel full-time for more than a year
Pros – Gave me great workplace experience while I was in college. Also great because it was incentive based pay instead of a bucket system. Quotas adjusted for traffic.
Cons – Seemed like they created ever more creative ways to not pay out as much in commission. We were already the lowest paid in the industry and they revised the commission down twice in my year and half.
Advice to Senior Management – When you have higher performing associates, don't revise down the commission structure
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Sprint Nextel full-time for more than a year
Pros – Excellent corporate benefits and great commission potential for the sales pro who is good with quick in-and-out, short-cycle closing
Cons – Typical retail schedule - they give a lot of PTO ro new employees, but the seasonal retail needs make much of the year very inconvenient times to take your PTO; not ideal for sales reps whose forte is relationship building and longer sales cycle closing; no choice in location assignment, which can mean high costs in commute if you're in a large metro area (I worked at a store 40 mins & a toll fee from home)
Advice to Senior Management – Get to know your staff, even if history indicates they may not stick around long
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

I worked at Sprint Nextel full-time for more than a year
Pros – good pay, great people to work with and benefits are on par with other companies
Cons – Customers are absolutely horrendous, knowledge base is terrible and if you are not on a good team then it may be difficult to perform with Superstar status
Advice to Senior Management – Work on communications between escalation management and regional management
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at Sprint Nextel full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Good benefits, flexible work schedule (for most corporate employees), work/life balance. There are advancement opportunities and many employees have high tenure. A high number of employees have a sense of loyalty to the company and believe in its value.
Cons – Micromanaging is a huge issue right now due to the pressure to make sales quotas or validate someone's position. They lack much needed interdepartment communication on key initiatives. Each department only focuses on their needs rather than a company-wide vision. Executive management teaches not to manage by the numbers but that's all everyone does, and it comes from the top down. The commission structure is so confusing that no Sales Rep knows how they get paid (corporate sales, not retail).
Advice to Senior Management – Empower your employees and they will be more motivated to excel. Don't manage by the numbers. Trust your exempt level employees to manage their time wisely and reward by their accomplishments rather than micromanaging.
