    Pros

    Great benefits, surrounded by really good people, certifications are paid for, opportunities to take on different roles and leadership. If you are good at your job and have a good attitude then you will excel here. They give you the opportunity to make what you want out of your career.

    Cons

    You may have to take on a role that is out of your comfort zone.

    I have been working at Sogeti full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    I entered Sogeti as an engineer, which, in France, would not have occured (I do not have a master) if only I were to be in front of a 'normal' manager. This one, in regard to my experience, put the diploma issue aside, and sign me up.
    Sogeti is, in many aspects, one of the best IT provider from my PoV to begin with or to grow senior.

    Cons

    As many IT firms, when you get your senior status, there'll be a lack of opportunities to grow even more. And, as it goes, I didn't receive any formal trainings, on SAP or anaything, for 5 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Internal culture in Sogeti is growing and the management deploy many things to keep professionals aware of their society (as most are on client site). As a downside, a lot of them do not care about the these news.
    On an HR and management perspective, there is a huge lack of recognition and, when it comes to provide tools and trainings to capitalize on people, they prefer to disappear and let the professional leave and hire a newbie instead.
     To keep the salary as low as possible, they do not want to invest in their employee, and doing so, they'll lose their most valuable asset... Us.

    Pros

    Good collaboration with the Consultants. We hire very talented Consultants that are innovative for our Clients.

    Cons

    Lack of training for Account Executives. Thoughts of just do the job as we pay you well. We don't need national training or meetings for you to meet and collaborate with others.

    No growth opportunity for Account Executives. Very male dominated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Find some female leadership and provide leadership training to your Leaders. Just because they were a good Consultant does NOT make them a good leader

    Good work-life balance and the jobs are local - so none to very little traveling is required !

    Internal workflows / processes are not so streamlined and are sometimes confusing.

    It is ok so far, but future seems to be deteriorating

    Pros

    150% 401K match
    No premium pay for health insurance

    Cons

    *Very high deductible health insurance- 12k
    *Bonus plan that never benefits a consultant. It only benefits the top management
    *No over time or comp time for extra hours worked. They say all the extra hours goes to your bonus points to increase your bonus potential. That is not true.
    *They are slowly taking away benefits from employees. The recent policy change was , no pto accrual if you have more than 200 hrs.
    *They are loosing clients. Account Executives are not capable.
    *It's a body shop.
    *They say they will pay on bench. But if they can't find a project for you in few weeks,, they will ask you to leave the company.
    *Very weak account exes who just care about their commission from their existing clients only. They don't look for new opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Have a vision what you want to be. Don't get caught up with the confusion of consulting firm vs body shop. In reality you are currently running a body shop.

    I worked at Sogeti full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Great benefits - matching 401K at 150% - tuition reimbursement - pay for certifications. Interesting assignments - paid time on bench.

    Cons

    If you use the benefits, it reduces your chance for a bonus. To earn a bonus, a lot of time outside of office hours is expected of you. Work life balance is what they promote but in reality, it does not happen. The more you do on your own time, the more that is expected of you.

    There is no transparency. People leave and they just disappear off the face of the earth - causes a lot of rumors to start - where if the company would just say "so and so has moved on for their own reasons", there would be less wondering and gossiping. Good people don't seem to last long - high turnover.

    CEO doesn't care about the people at all. He claims transparency but there is none. You don't motivate people by humiliating them in front of their peers.

    Consulting is NOT like a typical corporate job. Employees MUST take responsibility for their career.
    Will get out of it what you put in it.
    Great training opportunities & Great retirement Package!!

    At times have lack of direction. Can be "idle" for long periods of time.
