Current Employee – been working at Sodexo USA full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – If customer pays well, Sodexo passes that to the employees salary. Their benefits are good, for a contract company.
Cons – Vacation/holiday pay is dependent upon the customer account. Never hear from upper management.
Advice to Senior Management – Look to employees for cross customer ideas and suggestions

Current Employee – been working at Sodexo USA full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Benefit and 401k packages. No more working every weekend and until 2 AM. Excellent systems that aid in the daily operations of the unit. The in-unit managers are very knowledgeable.
Cons – The compensation system when you are a current employee and you want to advance is not pro-employee at all. You are better off leaving the company and coming back.
Advice to Senior Management – When you are going to roll out company wide systems please make sure they are fully operational and are unit friendly from the beginning.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Sodexo USA full-time for less than a year
Pros – As contracted management, I think the site you are assigned to has a direct correlation to how happy you are with Sodexo. Horrible client site will result in a horrible experience. Good client site will result in a good experience. The client I was assigned to was not perfect, as nothing is, but overall I am happy and feel I am making a good living with a good company.
Cons – Being a contract employee you naturally tend to regard yourself as an employee within that organization rather than an employee of Sodexo. Nothing against the company itself, but they seem to operate in the background and at a distance. This can be observed as a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you observe the situation.
Advice to Senior Management – The mentoring program is great, as succession planning in terms of professional development is a good way to retain talent and keep them vested into the company. As far as diversity goes, Sodexo is unmatched.
