    Pros

My team was fantastic! I had a very positive experience for the most part. Ross is a great job to get experience for "the real world." Management will always stand behind you if you are a well-trained, competent individual. I had the opportunity to move up to be a part-time manager, or MOD+. I held this position for about a year and a half.

    Cons

I found several instances in which management failed to communicate. The pay is very low, so I wouldn't recommend this job to someone trying to make a living. (Assuming Ross was your only job.)

    Pros

Part time work if that's all your looking for.

    Cons

Showed favoritism among employees. Immature employees promoted.

    Advice to Management

People are looking for more than 22 hours a week.

    Pros

They're very flexible especially if you have another job and happen to be a college student.
    Managers are friendly
    Co workers are friendly
    Clean store
We get safety parties which have free food, that's always a plus.

    Cons

Lack of hours and pay are the only cons I can think of. After the holiday season the hours are cut back a lot, and for what we deal with , customer wise. We don't get paid enough.

    Advice to Management

Let all associates be able to do overtime. Give us more hours and better pay.

    Pros

Great Co-Workers and Managers, came into work feeling at home, all managers and supervisors were extremely friendly and approachable

    Cons

Can be understaffed at times, store becomes very messy throughout the course of the day. Seem to hire upper level management from outside. Sometimes they will make unrealistic demands and have unrealistic expectations having never worked in a Ross store.

    Advice to Management

Hire more associates, try to keep up with the unreasonable expectations, continue to make employees feel welcome and comfortable, give stores payroll to hire the amount of employees to effectively run the store.

    I worked at Ross Stores

    Pros

Good discount is 20% off .
Willing to work with your schedule. Good for people who only need to work as fulltime.

    Cons

Mostly everyone is hired as partime. Very few people are fulltime . Very little hours. Always cutting hours and never have enough people wording on very high turn around rate. They really suck with the pay its min- wage.

    Advice to Management

To stop being so prideful and getover themselves, so very unorganized always having to refix the schedule. Nothing but favor for a lot of employees that dont work good.

    Pros

Ross stores has been a great place to work. The company rewards those that are hard working, collaborative and results oriented. There are also advancement and career development opportunities given the expected company growth. It's a great time to be at Ross Stores.

    Cons

It's important to recognize that it takes time to drive initiatives, program enhancements and change at Ross. Not because the company is slow, but because it's thoughtful, thorough and strategic. If you can embrace this you will do well here. Stay the course and push forward.

    Advice to Management

Continue to develop associates and promote talent from within.
