Pros – Good Managers, learned valuable customer service/interaction skills.

Cons – sometimes difficult to receive training on all the necessary transaction or expected duties as a sales associate. Job often has you running multiple errands on little information or instruction

Advice to Senior Management – Although the computer based training is helpful, I believe it would be helpful to include more cashier training with the cash registers. Introducing basic tasks such as checking in inventory and stock room duties would also be helpful to newer employees.

Pros – Fine for a first job. The part time hours worked well with other things I had in my schedule. Wage was adequate.

Cons – The shifts were a bit short. The customer service training was a bit lacking. Some employees sort of just ignored customer service.

Advice to Senior Management – Follow up with additional customer service training or check in with workers to make sure they're still doing it. Options for longer shifts might be good for some workers.

Pros – They are good about working around my college schedule, and we are not open as late as most other pharmacies.

Cons – The shifts for a part time Pharmacy Tech tend to be short (4 to 6 hours), and I usually end up working every weekend unless I request off, but that probably has a lot to do with the restrictions I have from going to college all week.

Pros – Good stepping stone to get a better job elsewhere. Good retirement plan.

Cons – Rite Aid does not recognize the talents of people or pay well unless you are Management. Depending on the manager a casher may get higher pay than a supervisor or PAC. And there is no union support for the workers from the union.

Advice to Senior Management – They should promote the good workers instead of hiring form outside, or promoting the bad workers.

Pros – - Good for the first timer
- Easy as pie work
- Nice co-wokers if you are lucky
- If you are lucky enough to get a good manager your experience can be very nice

Cons – - Very low pay, you will start off at minimum wage for cashier/clerk and get one 18 cent raise a year at the date of hire.
- Awful benefits
- If the manager is bad the store will fall apart. The manager has the freedom to do whatever the heck he or she wants with no accountably. They will sit in the office and give the work to others to do while they do nothing/ Take 3 hour lunch breaks on the clock. You can complain but nothing will come of it.
- Wasteful nothing is EVER recycled
- At the event of any kind of weather emergency you will NOT be aloud to go home.
I have had to stay four and five hours+ in a power outage in the middle of hurricanes/blizzards.
The store manager has no power over this! You have to call the District manager and he/she has to give the okay to leave. They do not want you to go home because they care more about losing money then your safety!

Advice to Senior Management – Please keep a better eye on your store managers!
Let your employees go home when the weather is serious or you will have a lawsuit on your hands soon!

Pros – Are you breathing? Do you have mild brain activity? Do you have no opinion? Do you not know how to think for yourself? Are you content doing a menial, mindless job? If this sound good to you, definitely apply to Rite Aid. You'll love it.

Cons – Absolutely have to take a beating from customers because management does not care. I work in a dirty part of the city and a guy threatened to shoot me because I failed to offer a plastic bag for his drink. DO NOT WORK FOR A UNION STORE. They have NO IDEA what they're doing. I can't even list all the reasons I hate this job.

Advice to Senior Management – Pay your employees more instead of stuffing the money down the toilet. Support your employees. Quit being arrogant.
