I have been working at Rite Aid

    Pros

Depending on where you're placed (i.e. store or district) you may work in a team oriented environment. Teamwork make the rude customers more tolerable.

    Cons

In the event of poor placement, poor management may follow and unorganized management will make the job more difficult.
Not a place for those who want to move up in the company they work for; Corporate shows they little to no loyalty toward promoting employees from within.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be aware of team needs.

I have been working at Rite Aid full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Okay salary, in and around the public, and 20% Employee discount.

    Cons

Too many hours, unfair bonuses, hard to advance (seems political)and no payroll.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give more payroll and support to your management staff. they are the ones that work their butts off and care the most.

I worked at Rite Aid full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

close personal relationship with co-workers at store level and the freedom to make the store have an "independent" feel

    Cons

current pharmacy DM is a micro manager that never has anything good to say about anything in ANY store and mine was number one or two in his district at any time in my nearly 3 years of working under his needling supervision. With him it is all about the bottom line and you get the feeling that pharmacists are simply a necessary expense instead of valued team members.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

take NON-pharmacist PDM's OUT of the company and re-assign them to posts that they can manage.

I have been working at Rite Aid full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The people you work with, the customers, SHARECARE is helpful, some benefits are helpful. Great for part time work or a side job.

    Cons

Pay; expensive benefits out of pay check, given more job titles with a lesser pay is ridiculous. Kiss upper management in order to get your way. Vacation is only renewed each year not by pay period. hard to move up at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay you assocaites better for all there hard work,
