I have been working at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great work-life balance if you're on the high-level software teams.
Excellent pay and benefits, they prefer hiring the interns back for full-time instead of recruiting outside of the company. So if you're an intern you are almost guaranteed a return full-time offer from them. Their returning full-time offers are usually way above the market average, too.
Great culture. Everyone here is smart and know what they are doing, they are friendly and are usually willing to help.

    Cons

Not so much professional growth if you're not an EE.
HR department is not helpful and people there are arrogant. They are not very willing to negotiate and might even consider you as being ungrateful when you try to discuss your offer with them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The individual teams need to be more prepared before the interns come onboard so that the interns can get to work on more practical and challenging tasks.

I have been working at Qualcomm full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good benefits, lots of training programs, surrounded by bright people, mostly cutting edge stuff. Facilities are well structured with breakrooms, office space, etc.

    Cons

Can get lost in the crowd. Unless you a mover in your field (e.g. robotics, games), you are like a pachinko ball (pinball) hoping to land in an exciting group. There is a move afoot to move towards all cubicles. No pension.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider adding more direct Pension programs.

I have been working at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Good People. Good work. Good housing. Great location. Great Work life balance. If you are ambitious and hard working, Qualcomm is really good company to start your career and move forward.

    Cons

Sometimes the work gets hectic. Salary although high and Qualcomm is among best paying companies, it still not as high as compared to other giants like Google or Microsoft.
