    Pros

Great working experiences, smart people, great pay and benefits. Wonderful cross-functional support and teamwork. Exiting company to work for.

    Cons

Giant company = giant bureaucracy and limited scope. As far as your workplace experience, your mileage will vary, depending on what group you work in and who you work for. There are some wonderful leaders in upper mgt, and also some who really don't deserve to be there. Most higher ranking positions are increasingly filled externally, rather than promoting from within.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I consistently see poor decisions made by upper management and executives due to the fact that many of them do not understand the repercussions at the working level. In such a large company, executives can easily be removed from the reality and consequences of their decisions. This can be fixed through better information sharing through the ranks, as well as a commitment to internal promotions, rather than external hires into the higher ranking positions.

    Pros

The number one reason to work at Qualcomm is for the work culture. The engineers are professional, talented, humble, and treat each other with respect. Also, anyone interested in being at the forefront of the explosive mobile technology industry should certainly consider working here.

    Cons

There are few cons to working at Qualcomm. Some who only value compensation might complain that Qualcomm doesn't offer the highest pay of all software engineering positions out there, but the compensation is still pretty good, and the other perks and benefits more than make up for the difference.
