    Pros

-Great range of clients to work with during the internship
-Great exposure to financial services industry in the assurance field:
Asset Management/Banking & Capital Markets, Real Estate Transactions, Insurance
-Most clients in the AM/BCM market are in Chicago so there isn't much travel required
    -Excellent expense/reimbursement policy
-Chance to work with some excellent team players and knowledgeable people in the industry

    Cons

-Performance review system is brand new, has kinks, and no oversight. Does not allow for sufficient explanation of work performed.
-Management sometimes won't even talk with new associates or interns (makes you feel insignificant)
-Very young crowd, 'clicky' groups, may work for people who have great accounting knowledge but are 'forrible' at communicating with you and providing constructive feedback

    Advice to Management

-Talk to everyone especially your interns and new associates. Make them feel like the work they are doing is important and don't use the excuse that your are too busy to deal with anything else. Part of being a great leader is recognizing your junior employees and making sure people see them.

    Pros

Company is mixed with every age group, but as a college hire you'll be working with a lot of people your own age. Great place to experience other Fortune 100 company operations.

    Cons

Hours can be long, but flexibility really improved over the time I was there.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Learning curve is going upward steep in the first three years in the firm. Nothing more than that.

    Cons

Be ready to say goodbye to your social life if you want to get promoted. You will never get the chance to enjoy your salary because there is no life outside the firm. You will pass through enormous stress, so be prepared. The overall journey of being an auditor is really not enjoyable. Most of the time you are annoying the clients with pointless questions and working through just to cover your back. On the top of that, your manager will probably hunt your mistakes and surprise you with an awful negative feedback.

    Advice to Management

Managers, do not be mean to your staff. Be honest and clear in giving your directions and expectations and let your staff know whenever they deviate from these expectations in order to have the enough time to correct themselves instead of hunting their mistakes and screw their performance after a hard work and dedication were already provided. Do not be hypocrite.
