I worked at Pennsylvania Real Estate

    Pros

While company is a REIT, its roots are entrepreneurial and family run business. Several of those characteristics remain in the culture, even with recent CEO leadership change.

    Cons

Overall, company has a challenging portfolio, making it difficult to move the needle. Executive and senior leadership have become disconnected from business operations. Lack of resources (money or staff) for projects which could propel the company,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Pennsylvania Real Estate

    Pros

Great atmosphere. Delicious food in food court. Lots of Foot traffic. Good stores to draw people in. Good location.

    Cons

Mandatory hours for the duration of the time the Mall is open. Difficult if you are just starting out your own business, especially during the holidays. Lease amount was very expensive and turned out to be too much. Made no profit. Had a couple of problems with a Lease manager. not saying what.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Say what you mean and mean what you say. And reduce the amount you charge for Kiosks especially at off-peak times when you are literally making no money on a kiosk not being used.

I worked at Pennsylvania Real Estate

    Pros

Good pay and the people were friendly. Good vacation for an intern. Mall managment is a great business to start a carrer.

    Cons

Boring at times with some of the work being repetitive. Sometimes working a 9-5 feel like your back in grade school.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managment needs to stop being cheap and spend money to develop their malls. Also, close the malls that are not making any profit.
