    Pros

    Nice co-workers and managers. The environment is always nice and if you work on cash you get to hear how much the customers love the food and it kinda brightens up your day.

    Alittle mis-communication with head office sometimes (scheduling)

    Pros

    Better than minimum wage, 50% off of food, usually friendly coworkers, decent clientele

    Cons

    you get sick of their overpriced/unhealthy food pretty quick, you can't call in sick you have to find someone to take your shift or else you're screwed, if it's busy and you're on cash or making the food good luck going to the washroom some managers will tell you to hold it you might as well pee yourself, they tell you they're going to promote you but they tend to drag it out as long as possible, management can sometimes play favourites, terrible training process, you don't get any benefits until you've been working there for a year straight

    Standardized (franchise) systems, friendly co-workers, meal discount, safe work environment, healthy work environment, flexible with hours, well-mannered leadership

    Cons

    Tough work - often working at high stress levels, typically doing the job of two people, a lack of communication - because managers are busy they can forget to tell you to do this training, tell you about new procedures, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be more clear on communication as far as new procedures, and training - perhaps always meeting with the employee as shift starts to discuss what's going on, and to have them take any necessary training, etc. I do worry that the business model or food served is too "East Coast". Here in Orange County/LA we prefer things healthier, lighter, etc. I think broadening healthier options will improve stability and long-term success. i.e. vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.

    I worked here while I was going to school, and they were very understanding of my hours as well as allowing vacation as long as I provided notice

    Cons

    The biggest con is something that the company can not control, and that is the customers. Anyone who has worked in retail is sure to understand.

    Pros

    You meet some of the most amazing people, between the customers and your co-workers. The food is delicious.

    Cons

    The pay is low, the customers can be extremely rude, they promote favorites instead of the ones who actually work hard. The discount is crappy, half off an hour before shift and an hour after shift. Standing on your feet for a long period of time.

    Pay attention to the ones who actually work hard. I've worked for panera for 2 years now, and I work harder then most of the people there and it goes unnoticed and I don't get paid enough.
