I have been working at Palm full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – It's a small company with lots of different opportunities in different departments, if you want to move around. Most of the people are nice and good at what they do.
Cons – For a small company, efforts are really uncoordinated between divisions/departments. There's a lack of leadership, very little top-down communication, and complete disconnect between engineering and marketing.
Advice to Senior Management – Figure out how to actually implement your vision.

I worked at Palm full-time for more than a year
Pros – The responsibility does not increase no matter how well you perform. Hence, the hours are great for achieving work/life balance.
Cons – It was a very political environment where everyone is there to take credit for things accomplished by himself or others.

I worked at Palm full-time for more than a year
Pros – Working on innovative mobile platform (WebOS)
Learn a lot about embedded software development in general (cross toolchain, Open Embedded
based build system, log analysis tools).
Cons – Management's inability to monetize on the promising technology. There are a lot of material on
the web about the Palm saga in the last 3 years of it's existence).
Advice to Senior Management – They are all gone now.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

I worked at Palm
Pros – Laid back work environment and the flexibility to work on what you think is most important. Also, the pay is decent.
Cons – senior management does not have a clue on how to manage multiple projects at once or to be able to do work to plan for the near future. They only focus on what the immediate goal is and put all energy into that.
Advice to Senior Management – have a plan for the future, instead of just a plan for the next 3 months. Keep the plan in mind while working on current project.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

I have been working at Palm
Pros – It was very innovative company at one point of time and tried to fight back with palm pre. Those were exciting times work wise but then management and other things didn't make right decisions.
Cons – 1. Decision making by upper management
2. Too many projects at same time
3. Marketing was not done enough for good products
Advice to Senior Management – Since palm no longer exist there is no advice for upper management. Good luck HP with open source efforts to keep webOS alive.

I have been working at Palm
Pros – Makers of end-to-end products and good exposure to entire product cycle. Nice place if you are ready to learn and work hard.
Cons – Company is not doing too good so job security is a issue. HP's decisions can be sometimes hard to believe and understand.
Advice to Senior Management – Hp please sell webOS to someone who knows the value of this great OS. Try to work on fewer products and make them competitive .
