I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group

    Pros

Good start point in the company, offers a jump to just about anywhere. Team managers are very supportive.

    Cons

Lots of pulling in many directions, everyone wants you to do everything. If you're not careful you could lose focus on the investment aspect.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clear up the job responsibilities with other branch employees and let the FSs shine. Compliance holds them back for BS reasons.

I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group

    Pros

One of the biggest things for me is the work life balance. There are always times when I can step out in an emergency or know that when I am calling out, there are team members that can cover for me. I am very fortunate that I have a great branch team, not sure about other locations.

    Cons

My current position still does not have a very clear expectation of what should be asked of them. it is a fairly new position to the company so there are constant changes to try and fit the mold of whatever upper management has decided to be the 'flavor of the month' for completing goals.

  10.

I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group

    Pros

PNC has a very unique way of treating its employees - people truly want to help you and make sure you are happy in your job. While most employers will state this, PNC actually walks the walk.

    Cons

It's amazing that PNC hasn't been toppled by its own bureaucracy and general inefficiency. The systems are stone-age, some of the policies & procedures are completely out of date and useless... All of this results in time wasted and general frustration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut down bureaucracy whenever you can, update policies & procedures. If PNC put as much time in cutting down bureaucracy & improving overall processes/efficiencies as it did in finding ways to cut costs, not only would it save more money but would be a much more effective organization.

I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great organization to work for. Coworkers are generally skilled and helpful. There are plenty of resources for employees to use, and the company overall is big on work/life balance.

    Cons

Management is hit or miss. Sometimes you work for people that invest a lot in your development, but sometimes you work for individuals that are not interested at all in your growth, but rather their own. I get that mentality, but as a manager there should be a balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on your teams and less about the number of meetings you have to attend.
