I worked at OHO full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Respectful, honest culture. Fulfilling project work, often in non-profit or education/philanthropy/religious groups. Flexible environment to make your own path.

    Cons

If you're looking for hard-core, cutting-edge tech pizzazz, maybe not the best fit--though OHO is always ready to absorb and integrate excellent talent, so you might move them that direction!

I worked at OHO full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great location, decent culture although that was starting to crumble. The strength of this organization is with it's employees. Some very talented developers and IA folks combined with a real desire to innovate.

    Cons

Upper management, favoritism, lack of direction and leadership. Deadline driven with an emphasis on turn and churn projects rather than quality work.

Heavily represented design and IA interests with no measurable representation for the development side of the house. Very low compensation compared to similar opportunities in the Boston area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a CTO to represent the developers interests.

    I worked at OHO

    Pros

the best reasons are the quality of work produced for clients, all the people who work on projects, the culture, and free friday lunches

    Cons

the downsides include senior management's lack of focus, direction, and listening, the high turnover and little that is done to correct it, and the lack of recognition for a job well done

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

listen to the employees when you ask for their opinion, or even when its unsolicited. don't be as desperate on every project.

    I worked at OHO

    Pros

Some really great clients, lots of good people to work with. Nice location. Good variety of projects.

    Cons

Less of a focus on work life balance. Not enough focus on specific areas and disciplines. The employee vetting process could use some work. Short-term thinking is a problem.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more innovative in how the company is run - look at your competitors and how they are running their businesses and emulate them. Be more focused.
